How Do I Meet People?

Fairview Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community.

Take a look below and discover how you can learn, serve, and grow at our church and as always we hope to see you soon!

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve people. Small groups meet on Sunday at 12:30 and 6:00 p.m. at various locations.

For more information regarding small groups see Pastor Josh or contact us at fairviewjoplin@gmail.com so we can get you connected with a small group.

Student Ministry

(7th-12th Grade)
Fairview Student Ministry aspires to train students to “hold fast to the Word of Life” (Philippians 2:16) We desire to see students come to salvation in Jesus Christ and aid them in learning how to serve Him faithfully.

Our mission is to help students in their walk with the Lord. We aim to connect students with a community of believers and not just to provide them with an alternative gathering place. Fairview Student Ministry is a tool that is used to train students to develop their love for the Lord.

Sunday School @ 9:30am

Children’s Ministry

(6th Grade & Younger)
At Fairview, we love our children. We seek to provide a place for children to learn to love God and live a life dedicated to His purpose.

Sunday School @ 9:30 am
Wednesday Nights @ 6:30 pm

Our Mission:
  • To meet children at their level of development.
  • To teach them the love of Christ and the joy that is found in His forgiveness and salvation.
  • To encourage their growth within the broader body of Believers.
Our Vision:
  • They will first know Christ.
  • Develop an understanding for His word.
  • Continual growth in their own spiritual walk.
  • Ability to share the love of Christ with others.

Women’s Ministry

Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church. Our Woman’s Ministry meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Our Mission:
  • To meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of woman in our community, as well as in our church body.
Our Vision:
  • To glorify God and share His Kingdom by influencing people who need healing and light in a world which is in darkness. We strive to serve Him by serving those He brings into our lives as the daughters of the King.

Men’s Ministry

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. Our Men’s Ministry meets the 1st Tuesday of every month.

Our Mission:
  • To develop strong disciples of Christ that will serve as good examples for spouses, children, the Church, and the community as we build the Kingdom of God.
Our Vision:
  • Provide support for men through mentoring programs such as  Bible study groups, prayer groups, and special events.
  • Offer specific ways for men to serve the body of Christ through evangelism, fellowship, and worship in ways that support the church’s vision.
Our Motto:
Then He said to them, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”  Matthew 4:19
